Fourth and Final

There is no point to this post: I just like to do things in fours (a nicer number than three I find), so it is my fourth and final post of the day. That must be some kind of record.

Maybe I won't let so much time past between posts from now on.

And now it is time to go make my rolls for dinner. We are having a good ole-fashioned dinner of roast, mashed potatoes, gravy, rolls, peas, and salad. Oh, I need to think of a dessert.

Snowy Sunday

Just when you think you know a place (I've lived here for 8 years--the longest I've ever been anywhere!), it snows in March in Washington! Crazy, huh?

So here are some pictures of the kids out in the snow before church. Paige has declared that she now has "seen it all."

Can you tell that we put Katie's hair in curlers last night?

This picture just makes me laugh. The hair (we try to comb it down just on Sundays), the untucked shirt, the laughing smile--everything about it shouts: I am two-year old Tyler! Just missing the boots. Actually, he did have them on moments before, but since all he had on was the boots and a diaper, I took them off when I got him dressed.

And the whole reason Paul took the kids outside for pictures in the first place was to document this auspicous moment: the first time Ryan wore a tie to church. Pretty spiffy, eh

FIfth Annual Krumperman Family Easter Egg Hunt

Five years ago, Paul and I decided we wanted to hold a yearly Easter Egg hunt. We invited Paige and Katie's friends and their siblings. It was a nice size group, and we had a great time watching the little kids hunt eggs in our backyard.

By the next year, the friend group had increased in size, siblings were added to the mix, and we knew we couldn't host it at our house. So we asked friends if they wouldn't mind. . .hey, they live on a full acre! That went great too, with more and more people invited. We did it there for 3 years. Then this year, someone else volunteered and wanted to have it at her house (an even bigger backyard).

It has now morphed into a huge event, and although Paul and I don't claim it as ours, some people like to call it the "Annual Krumperman Family Easter Egg Hunted Hosted at the *** House." In any event, it is a great tradition and we all have a terrific time!

Although she didn't want this included today, we had to show Katie on crutches. This was the day after she sprained her ankle. What a good sport!

A few shots of Tyler. Tyler loved the whole idea of picking up bright colored eggs and then--BONUS!--there was candy inside. He didn't waste any time and was off and running. Paul trailed behind with the camera (I was busy chatting).

And at the end, Ryan jumped on the trampoline.

This was a terrific day and I am so glad that we do this every year.

Tyler's Birthday

Tyler's birthday was 5 weeks ago and this post is way past due. Tyler had a great day and loved all his presents, the friends who came to celebrate with us, the Blue's Clue's decorations, and most of all--rainbow chip cupcakes. Here are a few glimpses of that day.

He loves to wrestle

He loves his blankie and his ba-ba (pacifier)

He's super cute, even when his face is rashy

He wears his rubber rain boots every day

He's up for any and all mischief
